UPPER ST. CLAIR, Pa. — Larry Marks has the third-highest-winning percentage in Upper St. Clair hockey history, and this year’s state championship on his resume. But as of Tuesday night he’s no longer their head coach.
The Upper St. Clair Hockey Association voted to replace Marks after his contract expired. It named assistant coach Gary Klapkowski, who was also the head coach for the junior varsity team, as Marks’ replacement.
Marks said he was never told at any time his job was in jeopardy, or heard any displeasure with the job he had done.
